Alice, Addison, & Rosie

My daughter Addison had been asking for a puppy pretty much ever since she learned how to form sentences around the age of two. Her first words were puppy and dog I kid you not… My husband Tim and I were very cautious and took our time thinking about how we could not only help our daughter in getting her wish, but also by helping someone else at the same time. After many stuffed dogs and remote control dogs, Addison started stating to us and anyone else who would listen, “I want a dog. One that is real.” After a lot of thought, we decided to foster a boxer puppy that needed a home and with the help of a few friends we eventually decided to adopt Rosie. We knew after the reading and research we did about this sort of breed, that we were going to have our hands full and would need to get the best training we possibly could afford. Thank goodness one day I was driving to work and I passed by a dog boarding facility. I immediately picked up the phone to inquire about puppy training classes. We met Andrew and immediately were impressed with his calm, cool and collective attitude about dog training. After the 6 week class was over, we started having some major regression with Rosie and had many thoughts about whether or not this was the right dog for us. After the holidays, my husband got in touch with Andrew. We decided the in home and off leash training is what we needed get Rosie back on the right track. After the first session with him, we were immediately impressed at how wonderful he was with her. He never lost his patience and always kept a positive attitude, even when it was obvious that this dog was a challenge. After two sessions in the rain and even snow, we were able to get Rosie walking well on a leash. This was so exciting!!!! The last two sessions were spent on off leash training and it was amazing to see how our Rosie really thrived not being on a leash! She learned very quickly that she liked her freedom! We will always be very grateful to Andrew for not only making our life much more balanced, but also for all of the continued support and advice he has given us since our training sessions ended. We are truly grateful to have crossed paths with him.
