Real World Dog Training

I have crafted the most effective training possible. It all takes place in real world situations instead of a kennel or out in the country.

In the past, I have trained in kennel and class situations and found it to be a limiting experience. The dogs get to work in the training room, in the kennel, and maybe in the area right around the kennel, but that doesn't give the dog a realistic look at the world, nor does it give them the experience the dog needs to be successful when you bring them into your home.

That's why Andrew Warner Dog Training does all training in home – mine or yours – or in public places that are similar to the places you are going to take your dog for the rest of his life.

What you should know about real world training:
  • Your dog needs real world experiences to be successful in the real world.
  • Our board & trains take place in my home, so your dog can learn all the finer points in dog training – how to behave at a door, how to be around guests in a house, how to interact with furniture, how to not bark at windows, how to sleep in a crate in a house, how to eat in a house, how to respect different family members of different ages and genders, what to do while you're eating dinner... etc. All these things can't be touched in traditional training environments.
  • Your dog will do a lot of training in a typical neighborhood full of houses, children, dogs on leashes and dogs off-leashes. We also train in downtown Indianapolis if your dog needs more practice in an urban environment.
  • For in-home training packages, we will train right in your house, neighborhood and favorite destinations, so you and your dog are ready for your life by the time we are done with our training. There's no translating the training from point A to point B, because we started where you need it the most.

Real world training is designed to stick. Training with me will give you and your dog every opportunity to learn in environments that mean the most to you, so you and your dog can have the best possible relationship.

About the Trainer

Picture
Andrew Warner, an IACP certified dog trainer out of Indianapolis, IN, has been helping and training dogs for years. He has done everything from fixing dogs with the toughest of aggression issues to training brand new, wide-eyed puppies in training classes, 1:1 appointments, and via boarding and training dogs in his home.

His approach to dog training is eclectic and focuses on finding a strategy that is going to help the dog and the owner as quickly as possible.

Andrew's dog training philosophy focuses on what he can do to get the dog to obey off-leash so the dog doesn't have to live a life stuck tethered to a leash. He uses both cutting edge concepts in dog training as well as the appropriate tools to get the job done.

He is a proud professional member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. In the Indianapolis area, he has been the go-to dog trainer for shelters and rescues when it comes to getting problem dogs back on track.
