Beyond Dog Training

How is Andrew Warner Dog Training different?

There are many other dog trainers in the world, but I approach dog training in a different way than the rest. I push the boundaries of dog training – I go beyond dog training.  I've always been about balanced dog, balanced life. I want to not just train your dog, but also help your dog find happiness, peace, calmness and balance so that your life becomes easier.  Just as importantly, if you find happiness, peace, calmness and balance, your dog's life will also become easier. This is as important to me as working with your dog. One person with bad energy in a house can throw off the whole house, so it's important that every member of the team is "trained," so everyone can be successful.

Train/Rehabilitate the Dog

For a dog to be successful in our modern world, they need to know how to behave in certain situations. We give them all the basic skills to live a happy, untethered life in the world. The skills we teach dogs give them the ability to navigate social situations and to enjoy freedom where appropriate.

Coach the Human

It's important that you as the human have confidence and that comes from the best coaching available in the dog training world. Lots of dog trainers are great at motivating dogs to perform behaviors, but treats don't necessarily motivate people in the same way. I pride myself on the ability to work with humans as well, so that you are as confident handling your dog as I am. If this piece is missed, then the dog training is a failure.

Make You a Real Dog Person

The world is full of dog lovers, but has far too few dog people. My goal is to take you from just loving your dog, to honoring your dog – meaning you're thinking about who they are as a unique individual and as a dog. This transformation takes you from feeling sorry for yourself and your dog to empowering you to change your situation for the better.

Avoid the Hype - There are NO Quick Fixes in Dog Training

Trainers around the world like to market themselves by showing how quickly they can change your dog. You can find programs everywhere that promise "rehabilitation" in a certain amount of weeks. But these marketing tactics are mostly just that – and in our society, it helps make big money to promise quick fixes. Any decent trainer can shoot video and make your dog look fixed, but dogs are individuals and every dog will have his own path. Some dogs can take years to "fix" - other dogs will always be dependent on your guidance in certain situations.

AWDT will give you and your dog the best chance at a lifetime of growth and balance. I want to be your partner in a life-long journey, and not just sell you a program to fix your dog like a broken refrigerator.

When I created Andrew Warner Dog Training, I did so in such a way that I could take fewer clients so that I could have a continuing relationship with you, your dog and your family. Every family that I work with becomes an extension of my family, and I hope that everyone who hires me keeps in touch, especially when they need help or problems arise.
